El trabajo se realizó a través de análisis documental y una estancia de investigación del primer autor del artículo, lo cual permitió profundizar en el análisis de los conceptos señalados, sobre todo el de Economía Social, el cual evoluciona de acuerdo a las diferentes realidades de cada país. Dentro de la Unión Europea se considera como un proyecto alternativo que recae principalmente en las Cooperativas, Asociaciones y Mutuas respaldando las consecuencias que no ofrece el neoliberalismo; y en Latinoamérica, la sociedad considera a la Economía Social como un medio para reducir los impactos negativos del capitalismo, ofreciendo beneficios en vías de un cambio social de manera definitiva. Existen similitudes entre los diferentes conceptos sobretodo en que recae en la misma solución, la existencia de un polo de utilidad social en que las organizaciones actúen en el mercado o bien fuera del mismo, resolviendo las necesidades sociales sin retribuir a inversores capitalistas. Finalmente se concluye que el análisis de estos tres conceptos contribuye con argumentos teóricos suficientes para analizar las microempresas familiares, como una alternativa de los hogares para incrementar la cohesión social y una responsabilidad social empresarial, paraconstruir proyectos alternativos que mejoren la calidad de vida. Por "financiamiento" queremos significar cualquier forma de obtención de recursos monetarios. Además se analizan, con énfasis sobre "lo económico" del fenómeno, las causas que dificultan el acceso al crédito de las ERs y CTs y la situación legal de éstas. Identificamos los métodos, montos, plazos y destino de los créditos y subsidios a los que ERs y CTs accedieron, evaluamos la posibilidad que exista una discriminación negativa hacia las ERs en el acceso al financiamiento respecto del que obtienen las CTs, se verifica si existen instrumentos financieros especiales para ERs y CTs y si la antigüedad, el sector productivo, la actividad y localización condicionan o no el acceso al financiamiento.
