Dicho proceso ha generado nuestra reflexión acerca de las variadas formas en que las personas intentan garantizar la satisfacción de necesidades que les permita reproducir sus vidas en un contexto de profunda desigualdad. Asumimos el tema de autogestión de servicios públicos en vinculación con las organizaciones comunitarias, partiendo de entender y problematizar la cuestión desde distintas vértices. Es decir, iniciamos de premisas generales que nos permiten discutir y analizar desde un contexto más amplio el desenvolvimiento de las organizaciones sociales que se vinculan sobre el tema, ello nos aposta una diversidad de elementos que ayuda a construir y argumentar la importancia que históricamente han tenido estas organizaciones en el escenario político. También, cristalizar una diversidad de tensiones con el Estado como resultado de las prácticas desarrolladas por estas organizaciones. De aquí entonces, desde los aportes teóricos que brinda la economía social y solidaria, la autogestión de servicios públicos, los movimientos y organizaciones sociales en general y las comunitarias en particular, construimos el cristal analítico que nos permita problematizar y dialogar constantemente con cada eje teórico y las experiencias estudiadas. Desde la economía social realizamos un recorrido histórico del término, a fin de entender la diversidad de formas y posturas teóricas que han permitido distintas significados y formas de entenderla. En cuanto a la autogestión de los servicios públicos, no lo observamos como un proceso aislado o un eje teórico que para nuestro caso sea explicito por sí solo. Ampliamos la mirada tomando la discusión desde los procesos de construcción de la ciudad y el acceso a los servicios públicos. Es a partir de aquí que reflexionamos sobre la autogestión y los servicios públicos como una cuestión que guarda estrecha vinculación con el Estado y las políticas públicas. De la misma manera, hicimos con la discusión sobre los movimientos sociales, partiendo de verlo como una fase superior e integradora de una diversidad de organizaciones sociales, con fines variables entre cada una de ellas pero que a su vez se hacen comunes en la búsqueda de reivindicaciones colectivas. Para que esto sea posible, abordamos como caso de estudio a dos organizaciones comunitarias ubicadas en contextos políticos distintos del continente latinoamericano. Desde Argentina, estudiamos a Comunidad Organizada de Cuartel V, una comunidad ubicada en el Municipio Moreno al oeste del conurbano bonaerense, Provincia de Buenos Aires. Mientras que en Venezuela, decidimos tomar la experiencia del Consejo Comunal Santa Eduvigis, ubicado en la Parroquia Matriz del Municipio Campo Elías, Ciudad de Mérida. De manera general, hicimos una reconstrucción histórica del origen de las organizaciones comunitarias, con el objetivo de colocar sobre el tapete de discusión las diversas formas de actuación así como de vinculación que estas organizaciones han sostenido con el Estado.
